It is quite instructive that the tempter in the scriptural allegory of human eviction from the Garden of Eden or the kingdom of heaven within is the serpent. The serpent symbolizes the presence or development of mind or the memory and imagination lobes within our brain or being. The mind has virtually run its full course, helping humanity to develop religiously scientifically, technologically, politically, philosophically, economically, culturally etc. These developmental strides, magnificent as they maybe have come with some sacrifice in the realm of progressive complexity, inter and intra human tension, suspicion and even confusion which justify questions as to whether humanity has really been on the positive path of development/enlightenment or knowing. These uncertainties are the price for our current type of civilization. Eviction from the Garden in that narrative indicates that humanity is not on the positive path of enlightenment or knowing and should find the way back to the Garden of Eden or kingdom of heaven within.The allegorical serpent, (mind, memory and imagination, devil, satan, demons etc) having run full circle, has come to the era of bending backwards and swallowing its tail. The serpent which comes with all its temptations and mind confusions and dysfunctions has come to the era or moment of bending backwards to swallow its own tail; that humanity may be saved from the mind created or anchored confusions and complexities creating way for easy finding, return and entry back to the Garden of Eden or the kingdom of heaven within. Ancient Africa referred to the serpent-tail-swallow era as the Ouroboros and this is the moment. It is in the here and now. The African spirituality and consciousness is again awake and on the rise for the progressive spiritual enrichment of the entire humanity.
