Hell is the state of suffering of the soul as a result of desperate pursuit of vanity/matter trailing/following the deception/misleading information from the illusive mind. Soul would ordinarily not follow the mind at an enlightened or illuminated state. Hell is therefore state of spiritual suffering in the here and now which affords the soul an opportunity to learn, love light consciousness which is real spiritual enlightenment and the sole purpose for the visit of soul to temporarily experience the physical realm, sphere or dimension before returning to the Divine spiritual dimension interacting, interwoven and present in the here and now. So the more conscious soul becomes of love and light presence from within, the more it is freed from hellish experiences or sufferings as a result of helpless attachment to the transient, maliable, dazzling, magnificence etc of matter from without.
