Creation and natural unfoldment/evolution have been subjects of rife argument/debate between scientific and religious authorities/pundits.
Whereas religion holds the view that God or the Divine physically created humans by moulding Adam and Eve and breathing into them, the breath of life which energized them into becoming living souls. This religious position flows from a literal interpretation of the creation narrative in Genesis by Moses.
Science on the other hand contends that humans have evolved from minute cells to more complex celled organisms, to mammals, primates,
homosapients, now humans over ions of years. Charles Darwin in his writings on natural selection is summarily of the view that parents hand down their hereditary gens or DNA progressively to their offsprings in a continuous progression from ages or years in the past to the present.
Moses, the narrator of the creation story was already a created human and could only be narrating to shed understanding on the reality of a creator of humans at a time when the human specie had already developed and had started grappling with such an issue as the origin of human life on earth. This was expression of curiosity which is a natural
quality of the human mine. So the Divine was portrayed in material physical terms because the word creation, like sculpturing, meant a
visible physical activity at that time for many people.
For us, the contention between science and religion is not necessary in the light of the fact that we all have finally alighted the platform of humanity and should henceforth be interested in making the earth a better and more interesting place for all humans journeying through it.
Humans should continue the progression of self-unfoldment,
transformation or transfiguration now, in love light perception/consciousness, to attain the kingdom of heaven which is actually the kingdom of light and love within us all, in order to get at-one-ment with
the Divine. What if the bible narrative on creation was actually an allegorical depiction of the reality of the existence of a Creator by progressive expansion in an invisible universal dynamics?
This Divine Creator has to be an infinite part or extension of His/Its creation, right within and activating the process of the entirety of creation. The progressive development of the human body, soul and
spirit are so lovingly enabled, powered and or activated by the Divine.
Scripture refers to the Divine as the father of all lights before whom there is no variableness or shadow of turning (James 1:17). Thescripture also says that God is love and love is God and that anyone who
is or who operates in love is in God. Light and love are impalpable energy forms which we can describe as spirit. The scripture says that God/Divine is spirit and those who worship Him must do so in spirit and truth.
Worship of the Divine in spirit is an impalpable act from within the sanctuary in all humans.
Communication challenges and frustration as a result of ignorance about the self from within, leads to controversies, disputes, fights, tension and
fears which are attributes of animal life styles and territories leading to some level of misery. Many human societies/countries in the 21st century still have some of the above stated animal life characteristics at a time when humanity ought to have transcended them. Humans should now search for and seek to find self-transformation and transfiguration from within to rise above those traits of our lower brain.
The process of child birth for instance, is a divinely ordained process involving in the main, conception, nurturing of the fetus in the mother’s womb and birth when the body is fully formed. It is after birth that the
Divine spirit ushers in the soul which is an extension of the Divine. The soul is essentially spirit-enveloped love and light energy. It is the entering
of the soul that energizes and makes the body a living being. Virtually all children cry by way of in-breathing at the entry of the soul. These were some of the natural processes Moses considered and contemplated
deeply on, before being inspired to write the creation allegorical
narrative. Let there be light was one of the earliest commands in genesis.
Science holds the view that every physical creation is frozen light energy in a particular molecular calibration. The difference in physical/material
creations is their molecular concentration density, patterns or arrangements etc.
At the time Moses wrote, the human mind, had already developed and had the capacity to appreciate and express the functionality of a universal invisible system constituting the Life Force or love and light
energy of the universe which is Omnipresent, Omniscient and
Omnipotent. Moses only preferred to present it simply to avoid controversies and for easy understanding by his readers via the creation story in Genesis. Our challenge today is giving a literal interpretation to a narrative which was documented and intended to be understood as an allegory
