Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the Middle East to Mary, with Joseph, as a foster father as recorded by the scriptures. The middle easterners trace their ancestry to Abraham through Isaac and Ishmael. At the time Jesus was born, Bethlehem, Judea and the rest of the now Palestinian territories were under Roman imperialism. Jesus was born among a people who at that time were under the Roman foreign rule, and as a result were struggling against the ruling Roman authorities who taxed them and continued to ensure that they keep them under control by codified statutes/laws.
The society was highly religious, predominantly Judaism. They worshipped in synagogues and they had classes of people with different beliefs and philosophies. They had the scribes, the Pharisees, the Sadducees, the Lawyers, the Sanhendrin and the ruling class amongst these classes. They also had the common people. When Jesus was born, due to the controversies stemming from the interpretation of prophesies believed to be pointing to his birth, he was taken out of his home land to Egypt where he grew up. There, he associated with the Egyptians and learnt a lot while also teaching his contemporaries. At this time Egypt was already very well developed in the arts, science, technology and philosophy. Jesus was properly educated and spoke and taught with deep knowledge flowing from a highly conscious and enlightened mind.
Egypt, the cradle of enlightenment and civilization was at that time known for this deep altruistic dimension of teaching and knowledge. Unfortunately today, Egypt which symbolizes Africa is erronously read and understood in not quite a positive light in some religious circles equally in Africa. The scripture records that “out of Egypt have I called my son”. This prophesy is interpreted in some Christian circles to point to Jesus Christ. The low level and wrong perception of Africa in the globe by some people is basically as a result of lack of requisite leadership, not a lack of the knowledge among the people. Knowledge is universally rooted in the formless infinite world. The archeologists of the world are still excavating the physical soil of Egypt in search for the source of the Egyptian civilization and enlightenment which held and still holds the attention of the curious in amazement and was and still is from the unformed world, a unit connect of which is deposited inside of you as the kingdom of heaven within you. This was the source of the order, peace, organization, serenity and general prosperity and civilization in Egypt. Jesus freely and frequently spoke about this to the people, but unfortunately, it has been, mistranslated, misinterpreted, mystified, misunderstood, privatized and commercialized in exchange for opulence.
The above mistranslation and misinterpretation partly stems from the fact that Jesus Christ himself spoke Aramaic and Hebrew languages, traces of which are still in the scriptures. His statements in these languages were subsequently translated into other languages including Greek and English languages. The English translation has had several editions and versions including; King James Version (Old King James), New King James Version, Revised Standard Version, The Amplified Bible, The Message Bible, New Living Translation Bible, Goodnews Bible and Christian Standard Bible etc making it somewhat difficult for the real meanings of his statements/teachings to be conveyed and precisely understood. This is a part of the challenge which consciousness and indeed spiritual enlightenment has been confronted with, speaking from the perspective of the great teachings of Jesus Christ.
So Jesus returned to his people and seeing the high level of materialism, strife, greed, hate, class segregation in, the midst of religious sacrosanctity, or exhibitory sacredness, quite in contrast with what he had learned from the land of refuge/sojourn, began to teach his people the deep truths and the seemingly secret dimensions of life. Listening to him; the multitude that he taught, including his disciples knew that he spoke from a deep well of knowledge and that he was very conscious and enlightened. So they called him master and revered him. He took time to teach them about both the physical/material world/dimensions and the spiritual/Divine world/dimensions; two worlds in one, traversing each other while the Divine transcends and pervades the material. Jesus’ time and our time are not different at all. Nigerians and humans all over the world are still within the material and Divine dimensions in this dispensation. So you still see a lot of materialism, strife, wars, greed, hate, class segregation in the midst of religious sacrosanctity all stemming from the innate disharmony from our material and Divine content perfectly fused in one body. So what was it that Jesus learnt, knew or understood, believed in and taught his people on his return to Israel? Jesus’ teachings to his disciples and multitude that thronged him cut across a lot of themes inclusive of the following:
1) Love for the Divine and for the entire creation including humans and declared love the greatest.
2) Giving and blessedness of it.
3) The vanity of the material world in comparism to the Divine.
4) Spheres dimentions and realms of existence/life.
5) Oneness of mind and matter-material and the Divine. He declares that he and his father are one. If you will believe it, you and your father are one.
6) The light/presence/radiance of the Divine in humanity and by extension the entire creation.
7) Peace and non violence as qualities/virtues for candidates seeking to enter the kingdom of Heaven.
8) He demonstrated that the mind is the vehicle of the so called Satan/Devil.
9) He taught about eternal life by showing that God is the God of the living (while mentioning names of dead Jewish ancestors) not the dead. Nobody ever dies in this circumlocucious continuum of transcendency into light.
10) He freely spoke about the kingdom of heaven and declared it to be within you.
