(Mathew 7:3-5) Jesus Christ advised his followers or listeners in the Christian scriptures to remove the log in their eyes to enable them see clearly to remove the speck in their brother’s eyes to transcend ignorance and hypocrisy Whereas log is a fraction of a tree’s trunk, a speck is a minute or little particle. Jesus used this spectacular metaphorical figure of speech to enlighten all persons interested in his teachings on the need for self purification, transformation, transfiguration or transmutation before embarking on work or the voyage of teaching, guiding or broadcasting the message of repentance to others. More often than not, we are quick at seeing other people’s short comings or mistakes which are also part of our ways of life naturally, but are quick to notice same about others and complain sharply without compassion. The prism with which we view other people and the world are our eyes or personal subjective perspectives. These largely determine our perception of issues and people generally. Our impression of anything we focus on by way of observation or reflection is determined by the dimension or angle we see or perceive it from. Meanwhile there may be different angles or dimensions to the object of our vision or observation. A clearer understanding of any object or subject we view or review in our experiential endeavours in life will be enhanced by an effort at thorough, clear, understanding of the subject or object. So Jesus in verses 7 and 8 of Matthew chapter 7 admonishes that we seek, knock and pray for that understanding which unravels the hidden dimensions from within our being, where all required energy and knowledge concerning heavenly life on earth has been locked up from ages past, to present times, which is the season/era for unlocking and application of these positive energies, to foster human heavenly life on earth, without further separation from the Divine within us all. Hate, anger fears, greed, ignorance, laziness/slothfulness and manipulation of others etc are all inadvertent expressions of separation from the Divine resulting from the wrong use/application of our minds which symbolize the log which clog our vision from proper perception of others and understanding of the Divine from within our being. Love, peace, inner harmony, contentment, knowledge of the truth, enterprise, work-orientation, integrity and transparency with altruistic disposition to giving or helping others etc are either inadvertent or conscious expression of life without separation from the Divine within our being. If we learn to stay present and focused in our communications or interchange or relationship with others, we will tap into and draw transforming energy from the power of now replete within the Omnipotence, Omnipresence and Omniscience of the Divine love light creating energy which is so latent but extremely potent within us all.
